Source / Search fund CRM

A serious search deserves more than a spreadsheet.

When your pipeline lives in Excel, conversations stay in your inbox and diligence sits in a separate room, checking a deal's status means piecing the story back together. SearchWare keeps contacts, documents, decisions and follow-ups connected to the same opportunity, from the first introduction through close.

What you can do.

Specific tools for the decisions and follow-through your search depends on.

A pipeline that follows the acquisition

Move opportunities through sourcing, interest, NDA, management meeting, LOI, diligence and close. Switch between a visual board and a sortable list with financial figures, deal activity and offer context.

See where the search stands without reconstructing it from a spreadsheet and your inbox.

Your search network, connected

Keep brokers, owners, lenders, QoE providers, lawyers, investors and industry experts in searchable contact records. Add notes, tags and custom fields, then connect people to their deals and conversations.

Remember who knows the business, who made the introduction and who can help move it forward.

Bring your existing relationships

Import contacts from CSV or Excel, map the columns and review the records before importing. Use the downloadable template when you are starting a new list.

Start with the network you have already built instead of re-entering it one contact at a time.

Decisions you can return to

Record a reason when you pass or archive a deal, add the context and set an optional revisit date. A dedicated view brings opportunities due for another look back into focus.

Avoid redoing an old evaluation, and remember when changed circumstances might make a business worth revisiting.

A daily view of what needs you

Today brings together meetings, screening progress, tasks and recent activity. It surfaces quiet deals, legal follow-ups, approaching exclusivity deadlines and overdue diligence requests.

Begin the day with the decisions and follow-ups that need an operator's attention.

Owned, dated next steps

Create to-dos linked to deals or portfolio companies, with assignees, due dates, priorities and comments. Use deal task lists and subtasks for work that needs a repeatable sequence.

Turn a good conversation into a clear commitment about who does what next.

The whole deal history

Read comments, emails, meetings, stage changes, document uploads and portal activity in one deal timeline. Keep your deal team and working context alongside the opportunity.

Prepare for a call or bring a teammate up to speed without assembling the story from separate tools.

Analytics that explain your search

Track deal sources, reasons for passing, stage progression, time in stage and offer activity. Open the underlying deals from the charts to investigate what is driving the pattern.

See which channels create progress, where deals stall and how your search criteria play out in practice.

BEFORE YOU START

The practical questions.

Does SearchWare find businesses for me?

SearchWare organizes your sourcing relationships and the opportunities you bring into the workspace. You can drop CIMs or forward broker emails for screening. It is not a proprietary business-for-sale database or an autonomous prospecting service.

Can I bring my broker and owner lists from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Import contacts from CSV or Excel, map your columns and review the records. You can retain names, firms, contact details, contact types, notes and tags, then add custom contact fields for your firm's process.

What happens to deals I decide not to pursue?

Record a pass or archive reason, add a note and optionally set a revisit date. The deal remains part of your search history, and a due-for-revisit view helps you find opportunities you intended to reconsider.
